SEI is partnering with Discovery Education to develop and market American suffrage learning resources for K-12 education.
PROGRAM ELEMENTS
The course materials will include a variety of program elements:
- Immersive and interactive lessons
- Dynamic video- and audio-based content
- Standards-aligned wrap-around support for educators
- Ready-to-use classroom materials
- Engaging historical interactives
- Professional Development master class on teaching the subject matter
- Specific tools for students to apply their learning for themselves and others
- Virtual field trips to Turning Point Suffragist Memorial and other suffrage sites
- Hosted on co-branded website
ALL-ACCESS DISTRIBUTION
Discovery Education, with its 20-year history providing relevant and enhanced digital resources to educators across the country, will provide distribution for this educational program. More than half of US school districts subscribe directly to Discovery Education services (30M students, 1.3M educators total). This includes the Discovery Educator Community—the largest educator network of its kind.
Not only will subscribing schools gain access, but 100% of all schools, communities, organizations and families will have access to these resources through a tailored co-branded website.
